Application : Budget Forecasting and Reporting (BUFR)
Role : Team Lead
Duration :June 03 Till date.

The Intended purpose of the Application is to allow Divisional Heads to use the Budget System - to process Payroll and Non-payroll information and based on the actual data, determine fully-priced out Budget Information and thereby generate various Budget reports.
The regional activities like Initial budget base-lining, Budget planning, creation activities are carried out by the respective Systems at Northern California (BDS on IBM M/F) and Southern California (CCBS on AS/400). BUFR System currently receives the Data from various other systems like GL, HR, Labor etc.. Providing interfaces to the Budgeting Systems on BDS and AS/400. Interfaces are actually established by providing Shadow files from each respective System that goes into BUFR.
All such data files that come in from their interface Systems are taken into MS-EXCEL and is subjected to some data correction, formatting/clean-up using Excel macros and Visual basic Scripts. The corrected/formatted data is then posted into BUFR’s ESSBASE Repository for Analysis and Reporting. The BUFR System has specific and customized User Interface Screens using which Data could be entered/ corrected/ displayed/ Reported. This User Interface for BUFR is provided by the HYPERION Analyzer component. The Control/Meta Information for these GUI Screens is housed in the underlying Oracle-8i database.

As a Team Lead for Kaiser Permanente, a major healthcare provider I was involved in an effort to provide a new Web based Inventory Management Application that interfaces with Legacy mainframe applications and barcode scanners. I was responsible for designing and developing the web based interface for various modules like Inventory management, Administration, Reports, etc.

The Online Automated Self Sufficiency Information System is a case management and payment system for The New Employees of Nevada program.
New Employees of Nevada (NEON) provides a program of employment, training, social services and education to assist Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF) recipients and non-custodial parents (NCPs) in obtaining employment and moving towards self-sufficiency. NEON also provides support services to TANF participants and NCPs including transportation and payments for special need items necessary for employment.
